High winds and the weight of snow knocked down a large tree on Route 129 in Yorktown Friday morning, police say.
As it fell, it tore down power lines, knocking out power for about 15 homes as temperatures remained well below freezing.
Con Edison says electricity has since been restored.
Route 129 was closed between Highway 118 and Underhill Avenue Friday.
