Dominatrix drug charge essentially dropped in Greenburgh PD sex scandal
A drug charge was essentially dropped Wednesday against the former dominatrix embroiled in a sex scandal with the Greenburgh Police Department.
Gina Pane was arrested in January of 2006 on a marijuana possession charge. Pane claims her treatment at the hands of some police officers constituted harassment. In the end, one officer lost his job. The town and the department are also facing a civil lawsuit. Pane was in court Wednesday where she was not convicted of any crime or violation in relation to the drug charge. The matter will be suspended and dismissed within a year.
Pane claimed Police Officer Erik Ward promised the charge would be dropped in exchange for a kinky sex act. Ward was eventually brought up on department charges and lost his job after a police commission proceeding last week. Pane?s attorney says that decision strengthens the civil lawsuit.
