The dominatrix at the center of the Greenburgh police sex scandal scored a legal victory in court Thursday.
A prosecutor from the District Attorney?s office dropped the DWI charge against 31-year-old Gina Annenoel Pane. Pane was arrested in January on charges of driving impaired and possessing marijuana. The lesser drug charge against Pane still remains.
Pane claims police officers harassed her after discovering she was a dominatrix. She also says Officer Erik Ward engaged in a sex act with her the next day in return for dropping the charges against her. Ward was suspended without pay pending an investigation by the District Attorney?s office.
Pane?s attorneys want the other charge against her dropped as well. Her attorneys still have the option of filing a police misconduct case against the Greenburgh Police Department in state or federal court, but say they will hold off until the DA makes a final decision. The attorneys only have 90 days to make that claim as the statue of limitations is running out.
