The story of a dog being taken from a home in Yonkers has a happy ending after the dog has been returned home.

The dog named Maya is now back in the arms of her owner after slipping through a front-yard fence in Yonkers.     

Surveillance footage from Saturday showed a man picking up the pup and looking around before driving off with little Maya.

Maya's family believes because News 12 aired the story the dog was safely returned.
