A disabled man was injured after the elevator in a nursing home suddenly plunged two stories.
The incident occurred Thursday night at the Regency Extended Care Center on Ashburton Avenue. Police say the elevator carrying a 55-year-old resident suddenly dropped from the second floor to the basement. The man was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
