Democrats statewide are flocking to Buffalo Monday for the opening of the Democratic Convention.
While the official nomination process does not begin until Tuesday, officials are reporting huge crowds at the airport and Convention Center. Westchester Democratic Chair Reginald Lafayette says there is overwhelming support for Gubernatorial candidate and Attorney General Eliot Spitzer, who is expected to win the party nomination for governor.
Officials say they are also keeping an eye on Hillary Clinton, who is running for re-election in the Senate. There is speculation Clinton may make known if she intends to run for president in 2008.
