Democratic incumbent Dan O?Neill has won another term as Village of Buchanan mayor. O?Neill defeated former Republican Mayor Al Donohue with 66 percent of the vote. This is the fourth time the two men faced off against each other for village mayor. At his victory celebration, O?Neill thanked the voters and his village board for their support. Two trustee seats were also up for grabs in Buchanan. Democratic incumbents Joseph Tropiano and Frances Surak won re-election with each capturing 422 votes.
