Police are investigating the death of a 3-month-old boy in Yonkers, but say it does not appear suspicious.

Officers were called to a home on Sterling Avenue early Wednesday morning because the baby was having trouble breathing. He was taken to Lawrence Hospital in critical condition and later died, police say.

Neighbors say the infant was a twin and that he and his parents lived in a basement apartment.

Investigators are working to determine a cause of death.
