Most children have been at home with their families during the pandemic, but as New York begins to reopen Friday, some will be heading back to day care.
Angela Bayer-Persico, director of Little Angels Child Development in Yonkers, says some child care facilities are not prepared for the reopening. She says they do not have enough sanitizing wipes and other PPE.
Children, including a 7-year-old from Westchester have recently died from an inflammatory illness possibly linked with coronavirus. Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Tuesday more than 100 cases are currently being investigated.
Dr. Sheila Nolan, of Boston Children's Health Physicians, says the emerging aftershock can be very contagious.
Bayer-Persico says people will not be able to return to work if their children are not safe.
