10h agoWestchester's DA has dismissed endangering the welfare of a child filed against a Putnam County music teacher.
Stanley Indig, of Brewster, was arrested by Greenburgh police last August after allegations were made by a parent who hired Indig to give private, in-home lessons to his daughters.
It was alleged that during the lessons, Indig would have his students wear and pose in women’s high heel shoes as he recorded them with his cellphone.
The Westchester District Attorney’s Office decided not to pursue the case.
Indig, 68, told News 12 he was happy the case had been dismissed but added that the charges should never have been brought in the first place.
Indig’s attorney, Richard Ferrante, agreed with the charges being dropped and argued that the prosecution could not prove that a crime of endangering the welfare had been committed.
