First responders are used to coming to the rescue, but today the tables were turned in Elmsford as firefighters got some much need help.
A Connecticut-based company called Ranger Ready recently repurposed its big spray factory to make hand sanitizer.  In just four weeks, they got FDA approval and had a product ready for market.
They have been selling the new product, but also giving it away to area first responders. “A former fire chief in Elmsford reached out to us on Facebook and said "We need help," so here we are," says Chris Fuentes, of Ranger Ready.
Elmsford Mayor Robert Williams is thankful for the generous donation. “Over 45 communities across Westchester are looking for hand sanitizer, gloves, masks, so we are all competing for the same stuff.  This is very hard to get. This is going to be a big help to the village.”
