Crews rescued a man from a Piermont marsh Wednesday.
Daniel Goswick, of the Piermont Fire Department, said the rescue was just north of Sneden’s Landing.  He says four people had hired a boat and stopped to go for a hike, but one man plummeted about 25 feet down an embankment into the swamp below.
“We swam in, packaged him, carried about 150 feet to the phragmites, out to the water's edge and out to Westchester’s PD boat,” he says.
The victim suffered a knee injury and was taken to Nyack Hospital for treatment.
This is the second water rescue in Piermont in a week. On Saturday, News 12 was told that two women were out kayaking when they got stuck in the mud.
The women weren't injured, but officials are offering some advice for anyone else heading out on the water.
“The current is a big thing down here, wear your PFD - personal floatation device - that helps a lot, and you gotta be cognizant of the tide, you gotta check the tides because last week the issue was the tide went out on them,” says Goswick.
