Divers worked Sunday to retrieve pieces of a small plane that crashed on Thursday into the Titicus Reservoir in Westchester.
Eric Horsa says his father, Val Horsa, and his stepmother, Taew, were in the 1971 Beechcraft Bonanza plane that vanished on their approach to Danbury Airport around 4:30 p.m. Thursday. Horsa says his father was an experienced pilot, and the couple was returning from a trip from Mississippi. The couple lived in North Salem.
On Sunday, crews were able to recover the back of the plane, along with a wing.
Once they recover most of the wreckage, the NTSB will investigate the cause of the crash.
The Westchester Medical Examiner's Office has not yet identified the human remains that were found in the reservoir.
