Credit card debt hits new highs
People across the country are struggling under the weight of credit card debit.
There is now a total of $1 trillion in credit card debt in the U.S., the highest level ever, and the average interest rate is about 14 percent.
News 12's financial correspondent Jordan Goodman joined Michelle Brown in the News 12 studios to talk about rising credit card debt and how people can get better credit cards. Goodman also discusses the use of a non-profit credit counseling agency to pay their debts off faster and clean up errors off their credit reports.
