An Ossining police cruiser was involved in an accident Sunday that sent four people to the hospital, including two officers.
Ossining police officials say the two officers in the vehicle were responding to an emergency nearby. Witnesses say the cruiser smashed head-on into two vehicles.
Witnesses also claim that the police cruiser was being driven erratically and blamed the police officers for the crash. Ossining police officials declined further comment on the accident until Monday.
The two police officers and two other drivers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The Westchester police has taken over the investigation.
