The Putnam County Veterans Treatment Court focuses on defending veterans charged with felonies who may be suffering from mental health issues like PTSD and other combat-related disorders.
This treatment court diverts appropriate cases to receiving treatment for their disorders instead of conventional incarceration.
The Putnam VTC is now the 37th in New York.
