An renowned musical couple is dead following a three-alarm fire in Yonkers.
The victims have been identified as 89-year-old Ronald Senator and 81-year-old Miriam Brickman.
The couple died in their Hillcrest Avenue home in the Parkhill section of Yonkers after a fire broke out at 11 p.m. Wednesday.
Yonkers Fire Commissioner John Darcy says the house was not equipped with smoke detectors, which may have played a part in the tragedy.
Two people renting rooms in the house safely escaped.
According to the commissioner, eight firefighters were injured battling the blaze.
The fire has been labeled as suspicious. An investigation is ongoing.
