In the final hours before voters head to the polls, the candidates for Westchester County executive and district attorney are making one last appeal for residents' support.
"Make no mistake, this is a referendum on taxes in Westchester County," says Republican Rob Astorino, who is challenging incumbent County Executive Andy Spano, a Democrat.
The incumbent again argued Monday that Astorino has distorted the facts about taxes for his own political gain.
In the race for Westchester district attorney, two challengers, Republican Dan Schorr and Independence Party candidate Tony Castro, are trying to unseat incumbent District Attorney Janet DiFiore, a Democrat.
Political observers say Schorr and Castro may split opposition votes, paving the way for a DiFiore win.
Voters will have their say Tuesday.
