The owner of County Waste Management may face serious prison time after pleading guilty to mail fraud.
Ralph Mancini, 57, of Harrison, overbilled local business that contracted with the company from 2008 until 2016. Officials say he stole thousands of dollars from customers.
“Mancini sent the fraudulent invoices by U.S. mail, which fabricated the tonnage of waste collected, and thereby charged customers for waste services that had not actually been performed,” says the U.S Attorney’s Office.
He is scheduled to be sentenced on Feb. 14, 2020. He faces up to 20 years in prison.
