Health officials in Ocean County have declared a measles outbreak that sickened 33 people officially over.
According to the Asbury Park Press, the Ocean County Health Department said Wednesday no new cases have been identified in the past 42 days.
Health officials say the outbreak was one of the worst the state has experienced in decades, and it affected 30 county residents and three in a single family in Passaic County.
The Center for Health Education, Medicine and Dentistry says it administered nearly 3,000 doses of the measles vaccine during the outbreak.
Measles is a highly contagious disease.
Symptoms include rash, high fever, cough and red, watery eyes.
AP wire services helped contribute to this report.
