A mausoleum at Hillside Cemetery in Cortlandt Manor was found vandalized with graffiti spelling out “BLM.”
The letters, which stand for Black Lives Matter, were painted on the back of the building along Oregon Road.
The cemetery's office manager Lynne Nayman believes it happened sometime over the past few days.
"I can only view it as an act of vandalism by someone who does not know what a mausoleum is. It does not promote a cause. In terms of the cemetery we are... nondenominational cemetery. We have always been inclusive. We have been here for 150 years," says Nayman.
