A 66-year-old Cortlandt Manor man has been charged with his wife?s murder a month after reporting her missing.
State police said Werner Lippe was arrested Thursday in the death of 49-year-old Faith Lippe, a school nutritionist and mother of two. Police haven?t found her body, but said Lippe may have burned it and scattered the ashes on their property.
Lippe reported his wife?s disappearance earlier this month and spoke with News 12 Westchester about the disappearance, pleading for her return.
Lippe said he saw his wife get into someone else's car outside their home Oct. 3. On Oct 14, investigators said there was no evidence of foul play.
Lippe, who doesn?t have a lawyer yet, is due back in court Monday.
