A 104-year-old woman celebrated her birthday thankful to have survived the Spanish flu and coronavirus.
News 12 is told this is the second pandemic Francis Difabio has experienced. The mother of two and grandmother contracted the Spanish flu around 1917 as a baby. She battled and survived the coronavirus a few months ago as well.
“I had a bad, bad cold. I was very sick,” says Difabio.
Difabio says the key to a long life is a healthy diet and lots of prayers.
“I eat salad and I love chicken,” she says. “I tell God I love him and bless my family and bless my friends.”
When asked about advice, Difabio says “Be good to your family and everyone, that's my way In life.”
