Cops: Man ran male prostitution business out of home
Police busted a Peekskill man they say was running a lucrative male prostitution business out of his home under the guise of a massage parlor.
According to police, 41-year-old Joseph Lavoie was arrested Friday after he allegedly offered an undercover cop more than a massage at his South Street business named Jing Therapy. Police were alerted to the unlicensed masseur after complaints from neighboring business owners who suspected Lavoie of soliciting sex, not massages, in his studios.
Police say Lavoie advertised "extremely therapeutic massage" on a homosexual Web site and on the popular site, Craig?s List.
Lavoie is being held at Westchester County Jail pending a Monday court hearing. In addition to prostitution, he could also face additional charges for unlicensed massage.
