The Copiague School District has announced it is making cuts brought on by the coronavirus pandemic.
The district won't say how many teacher and staff positions were eliminated or which resources and programs.
It did say that it tried to make it so students would feel as little impact as possible.
State aid was cut by 20%, which makes up close to 50% of the district's revenue budget.
The district also said it received a notice that cuts in state aid will continue and could become permanent if the federal government doesn't step in.
