Construction is underway on the new Bronx River House at Starlight Park.

The facility will be the new headquarters of the Bronx River Greenway Alliance. The group is dedicated to cleaning and restoring the Bronx River.

The environmentally friendly public space will have a boat house, classrooms for nature seminars and space for hosting community events. Group members hope the new headquarters will also attract more volunteers to help restore the Bronx River.

Construction is expected to be completed in the fall of 2015.
