Connecticut man charged in Rye bank robbery

Police say a man is under arrest for a bank robbery in Rye last month and three other robberies in Connecticut. Detectives say Jamar Jarrett, 26, of Bridgeport, CT, is accused of the Sept. 25 robbery

Police say a man is under arrest for a bank robbery in Rye last month and three other robberies in Connecticut.
Detectives say Jamar Jarrett, 26, of Bridgeport, CT, is accused of the Sept. 25 robbery at Webster Bank on Purchase Street in Rye.
Jarrett was arrested yesterday in Connecticut.
Rye police say Jarrett had gotten away with an unspecified amount of money, but a dye pack exploded and he dropped the money and fled.
He awaits extradition back to New York.
