Narcissistic abuse can be defined as mild putdowns to intense, life-threatening violence inflicted by a narcissist Vanessa Reiser is a licensed therapist and a survivor of narcissistic abuse – a form of domestic violence.
Reiser tells News 12 that she ended her engagement as a result.
The Rockland County woman ran more than 250 miles to help others during her own process of healing.
“We have a lot of work to do but we did definitely open up a dialogue around the clinical trials that highlight this form of insidious domestic violence,” says Reiser. “We are shining a light on the clinical behaviors that people don’t generally talk about.”
News 12 is told she returned home Saturday and received positive feedback from hundreds of people. Reiser is already planning another run.
