Help may be on the way for a homeless man in Newburgh after a video went viral last month showing water being thrown on him.
In the video, a man was seen throwing water on Donald Lee as he slept in front of the man’s house. “He said, ‘don’t fall asleep in front of my house,’ and I’m like, ‘I won’t, I won’t,’” says Lee
Lee, 28, who was spotted yesterday in Newburgh on Broadway, says he was embarrassed by the incident which sparked outrage online by many viewers.
Newburgh activist Ali Muhammad recognized Lee from the video and is now trying to help.  “This brother needs help. He needs support. If you can help, please reach out. Let’s get him a place to stay. Let’s get him a shower.”
Muhammad says he provided Lee with a hotel stay, clean clothes and food. Anyone interested in helping can reach Muhammad by emailing here.
