The Port Jervis community has come together Wednesday to mourn the loss of three girls killed in a Huguenot house fire.
On Monday, 10-year-old Julia Dorritie, 12-year-old Kassandra Dorritie and their friend 12-year old Devon Fahey became trapped when a fire broke out at 106 Peenpack Trail. Only Carolyn Dorritie and her 15-year-old daughter Courtney managed to escape.
Fire officials say a lit candle may have sparked the blaze, although the exact cause is still under investigation.
The Youth Football League where the girls were active has organized a fundraiser for the Dorritie and Fahey families.
Wake services for all three victims will be held in Port Jervis Thursday.
