Going Home Celebration will be held today for Rev. Jeannette Phillips, a beloved figure in the Peekskill community.
Rev. Phillips, a leader and advocate for community health care, was one of the founders of the Peekskill Area Health Center, now known as Sun River Health.
The celebration was held today at Paramount Hudson Valley, followed by interment at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Putnam Valley.
Loved ones say her work in the community will be remembered for centuries.
"We're just filled with her glory right now and her peace and her divine love she has given to all of us. And we're filled and we're happy, we're in a good state of mind where she left us," says daughter-in-law Glenetta Phillips.
