Cold Spring celebrates new trolley service
A bus that looks like an old-fashioned trolley will soon connect Cold Spring and Beacon, providing a new way to get around on the weekends.
Residents had been advocating for the route for years as a way to travel between the two areas without having to use their cars.
The service will include stops along Route 9A for hikers who want to take on the trails. Commuters will also be able to take in the views of Manhattan and visit local businesses.
The route officially starts on Saturday and will only operate on the weekends. The fare is $2.
