WHAT'S NEW: Winter weather advisories are in effect from 5 p.m. Tuesday to 7 a.m. Wednesday for Orange, Ulster, and Dutchess counties. Impactful winter weather is not expected for Westchester and Rockland counties, although a few flakes are possible Tuesday evening.
WHAT'S NEXT: Precipitation moves in Tuesday evening. Conditions will taper off by Wednesday morning. Light rain will end around lunchtime Wednesday.

TONIGHT: Mainly clear and cold, with lows in the 20s. 
TUESDAY - STORM WATCH: Dry to start with increasing clouds. Highs around 46. Precipitation starts around 6 p.m. on Tuesday. The best chance for snowflakes will be in Orange, Ulster, and Dutchess counties after 8 p.m. Mainly rain is expected in Rockland and Westchester. Transitions to light rain by Wednesday morning. Lows around 38 degrees.
WEDNESDAYCloudy with scattered chilly rain showers in the morning. Drier conditions in the afternoon. Highs around 47. Lows around 35. 
THURSDAY: Sun and clouds with a few flurries possible. No accumulations expected. Highs around 46 degrees. Lows around 30. 
FRIDAY: Mostly sunny and chilly. Highs around 44 degrees. Lows around 28. 
SATURDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs around 43. Lows around 28. 
SUNDAY: Sun and clouds. Highs around 46. Lows around 32.
