Light snow overnight is causing an icy commute across the Hudson Valley this morning.
While the snow showers only resulted in an inch or two of accumulation in some spots, there was enough coating to make most roads in the area extremely slippery.
Melting snow and refreezing overnight has also created areas of black ice.
DPW crews across the region tell News 12 they have plows and salt trucks out on main roads, but side streets are particularly dangerous and are urging caution from all drivers.
