A year and a half after a fire ripped through a dozen condos in Montrose, a few of those residents are finally home.
Three condo owners at Coachlight Square condominiums moved back into their once fire damaged homes over the last two weeks.
The homecoming comes after multiple delays the contractor attributed in part to industrywide shortages in material and labor.
"It was terrible to stay 19 months out but we are happy to come back, its a very, very special moment,” said Manny Kassas, condo owner.
Some residents have expressed concerns with some of the repairs that have been made.
Cortlandt’s town supervisor said moving forward he's only issuing temporary certificates of occupancy to the contractor until any concerns expressed by residents are fixed.
