Co-workers and neighbors are mourning the loss of the second man killed in the wrong-way crash on I-87 early Tuesday morning.
James DeVito, 59, had been driving to work when he was hit head-on by a car driven by off-duty NYPD Officer Richard Christopher.
DeVito worked as an executive chef at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh. His co-workers say he was well respected.
DeVito lost his wife Wilma to cancer back in February. Neighbors say he was a doting stepfather to his wife's three adult children and his grandchildren.
