Rockland County braced itself for Wednesday night's storm, but residents woke up Thursday to sunshine and barely any snow.
Although there was little damage, Mike Donovan, a spokesperson for O & R Utilities, said they were prepared for damage control
"The storm skipped the Orange and Rockland service territories. Went south of us. It's good to be lucky," he said.
Donovan said most of the cleanup crews out Thursday were dealing with residual damage from previous storms, not from last night's storm.
He said about 400 extra mutual aid workers were brought into the region in preparation for the storm.
