Nearly 100 vehicles, from classic and muscle cars to motorcycles, gathered Saturday afternoon in Nanuet for a caravan through the community for the “Feed Our Heroes Drive-a-thon.”
Organizer Mitch Saul says the ride broke up the monotony of being in quarantine while raising money to feed health care workers on the front line of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The donations will provide meals to local hospitals, including Nyack Hospital and Good Samaritan in Suffern.
Bolzano's in Congers is matching fundraising effort to double the food order.
The caravan made several stops along the ride at hospitals and care centers to show their support and appreciation for health care workers.
