City of Peekskill says flushing hydrants may lead to discolored water

The Water Department flushed hydrants on Hudson Avenue, Boulevard Avenue, Main Street and Benefield Boulevard.

The City of Peekskill told its residents Friday that there is no need to worry if their water looked discolored.
The Water Department flushed hydrants on Hudson Avenue, Boulevard Avenue, Main Street and Benefield Boulevard.
While the flushing occurred, the water could be discolored.
The city advised residents to call the Water Department if it keeps looking discolored, even after running your cold water.
