Daily unloading zones, munimeters, alternate-side parking: they're phrases commonly seen on signs around the city, but they're not always easy to follow. It's why the City Council has proposed making parking signs more understandable. The council's plan would require the city to create an eight-member task force to review parking signs every three years. Drivers in the borough say they would welcome simpler signs, although some argue that the real problem is there's too many traffic rules.
