The City Center in White Plains is warming up to the possibility of a Burlington Coat Factory.
The store in White Plains has been vacant since Toys R Us went bankrupt over the summer, though there was a pop-up Halloween store there this year.
The Burlington Coat Factory currently occupies the old Walmart building across the street  It is rumored that the landlord wants Burlington out, and White Plains Mayor Tom Roach says there's plenty of room right at the City Center.
Not everyone is excited, because some want a toy store in the area. Others wonder what will happen to the space that Burlington occupies now.
Mayor Roach says the space could be a prime real estate location.
"Real estate in White Plains is very valuable, and it's another opportunity for us to keep White Plains moving the right direction,” he says.
