Church tag sale robbed
Police are on the hunt for two people accused of stealing from a church tag sale Saturday in northern Westchester.
Pastor Charlie Restova, of the Calvary Chapel of Westchester in Crompond, says what bothers him most is that the two thieves struck as the chapel was holding its annual fundraiser for a mission to Cambodia.
The goal of the fundraiser is to help rescue enslaved children forced into prostitution.
The crime was caught on video, and church officials say it shows a man and a woman walking off with a box full of items.
They also allegedly made off with the pastor's Bose speaker and the church's brand-new thermostat.
Police are asking anyone with information about the crime to contact state police at 914-737-7171.
