A 5-year-old girl was rushed to the hospital Monday after falling from the second story of a home in Rockland County.

Neighbors say the child fell just after 9 p.m. at a multifamily home on Jill Lane in Monsey.

Neighbors say the girl fell from a balcony and landed on the grass.

Ramapo police haven’t released many details, but say that the child had injuries that were not considered life-threatening. She was taken by ambulance to Westchester Medical Center.

Investigators say the incident involved two young family members.

While residents at the home did not want to speak on camera, people who know the family say the mother was with her child before she fell.

Police say the incident does not appear to be suspicious.
