Yonkers residents came together today to remember the lives lost 13 years ago on Sept. 11.
A solemn tribute was held on the waterfront for the 26 men and women of Yonkers that were taken suddenly and unexpectedly.
The Manhattan skyline, which is just 18 miles away, could be seen from the Hudson River as the ceremony took place.
The names of those lost have been inscribed on a memorial, offering some solace to family and friends.
