Harrison hosted its annual "Great to Live in Harrison Day" parade Monday, which honors Columbus Day and the town.
The parade is the town's largest event of the year. Officials say hundreds of people have lined Halstead Avenue to mark the celebration since the early 1970s.
Politicians seeking votes participated in Monday's event, including Mayor Joan Walsh and her challenger, Police Chief David Hall.
