Families from across the Hudson Valley celebrated Independence Day early in White Plains.
Food, music, inflatable rides and fireworks took over White Plains High School Tuesday.
Fran Croughan, with White Plains Recreation & Parks, organized the celebration.
"We start planning for our event here, our Independence Day celebration, probably a year in advance," says Croughan. "We evaluate what was good, what we needed to step it up, what changes should be made."
People who attended the event say their favorite part of the holiday is the fireworks.
