The CDC and the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry determined that the levels of PFA's for the city of Newburgh are much higher than the national average.
High levels of perfluorohexane sulfonic acid in the blood can show concerning drinking water contamination.
However, tap water samples collected during 2020 met EPA's standards.
