Casino donates toys to needy families for holiday season
Empire City Casino in Yonkers is making sure children are big winners this holiday season.
Generous gamblers and philanthropists donated 600 toys to Catholic Charities during a toy drive.
Catholic Charities will donate the toys to 271 Westchester families. The organization will also help support the families all year long.
Timothy Rooney, president and CEO of Empire City Casino, also gave a gift of $10,000.
The goodwill didn't stop with toys. About 400 gently used coats were donated to help people keep warm this winter.
