A Westchester-based career advisor is giving some advice for people out of work.
Erin Rovner, a senior Career Transition Coach at Randstad RiseSmart, is stressing the importance of job-hunting simultaneously while navigating the frustrating filing process for unemployment.
Rovner says while the job market is certainly slower than it was before the pandemic, there are still plenty of companies, here in New York, that are doing virtual hiring. “'I’ve seen a lot of movement in technology sectors in certain types of jobs; a lot operation stuff still going on. What I noticed is when I check across board, real-time tickers, there is no industry that is down to zero in terms of hiring."
Rovner says a lot of companies are hiring people to perform jobs remotely from home.
