Traffic was backed up for miles on I-87 northbound in Yonkers due to a car fire this afternoon.
The fire was first reported around 2:45 p.m., according to information from 511 New York.
The fire happened just after Exit 6A near the Ridge Hill Shopping Center.
It's unclear if the driver was injured, if there were any passengers or what started the fire.
